The university after and before the flooding

More than three months ago, anyone could had imagine the huge flooding that the university la Sabana lived,the sun was shining, there was not sign of rain,and all the students were returned to campus, until something strange began to happen,all the member of the university were evacuated due to a possible flooding, everybody out, thinking it was not a big deal, but nobody knew the magnitude of the tragedy .

However thanks s to the efforts of  the entire educational community, government entities and others, we are already back home, but not everything is the same yet, there are few restaurants, the lost of many books, gardens destroyed, etc, today we will focus on analysing the changes that suffered the campus after the flooding.

about technological resources such as video  players, computes, food dispensers, appliances in restaurants and kitchens and modern research team of the laboratory, it will take a long time to make everything as before, in the whole campus only have one machine food, before there was one in each building , many of the classrooms are not yet skilled  with video beams, there are only 8 laptop at the library and the first floor of the library there are not computers or books.

in conclusion this experience brought us closer together as an educational institution, the university demonstrated that is not made just of a beautiful campus, the important is its members,and de desire of do not let the adversity destroy it.

My profile

My name is Anamaria Olaya, I ´m seventeen years old and I was born in San Gil Santander, I have lived in Bogotá the last five years with my parents and my younger sister who still is in the secondary school.

Actually I am a student of second semester of business administration in the Sabana University, I chose this university because I think is one of the in Colombia and because the human and professional values that are characteristic here, also for the great campus and its international recognition.

About my personality I consider myself like a responsible and intelligent young woman who want to be an excellent professional in the future; my dream is become in the owner of a brand of clothing and accessories, because I always have love fashion design but as well I want to be able to help other people, specially children who probably don’t have the opportunity to study due to their few economic possibilities. But for the time being i just hope finish this semester the best way and learn as much as possible.
