PART A

All of the following sentences should be completed using the Simple Present. You must use the words in the parentheses to fill in the blanks. Hint: pay attention to word order.

1. John (be, not) is not English, he is American.

2. Susan (take, always) always takes the bus to work.

3. I (speak, not) don't speak Arabic. But Aziz (speak, well, English) speaks English well, so he can help me.

4. Mr. Julius (swim, never) never swims in the ocean. He (be, really) is really afraid of sharks.

All of the following sentences should be completed using the Simple Present. Hint: some of the sentences will require the passive verb form.

1. Every Monday, Sally (drive) drives her kids to football practice.
